STU-GTIIT光学论坛(No.39) 报告地点:at lecture hall E510 in the North Campus of GTIIT 报告时间:2025年3月11日 17:00 报告题目: Controlling low frequency collective modes with amplitude modulated Floquet drives (全英) 报告人:Egor Kislev(Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems 01187 Dresden) 报告摘要: We propose a novel method -- Modulated Floquet Parametric Driving (MFPD) -- to excite and control low frequency (terahertz) collective modes, such as plasmons in two dimensional materials and magnons in antiferromagnets with anisotropies. To couple to collective modes, a fast oscillating, optical Floquet signal with a slowly modulated amplitude is used. We show how such a driving creates singular plasmon and magnon dispersions and induces dynamical phase transitions to crystal-like phases, which break the translational symmetry of the system. We also discuss how MFPD can be used to time-mirror plasmons, as well as increase their quality factors. Finally, we address the problem of heating and show how it can be brought under control in MFPD-driven systems.
