报告题目: Single-Heat-Source Genotyping by Fluorescent Quantitation of Integrated Lab-on-a-Chip Platform(全英报告)

报告摘要:

  The Lab-on-a-Chip (LOC) technology is hailed as the most successful cutting-edge interdisciplinary field over the past three decades. This lecture will primarily focus on the conception and development of the LOC field, its essential functional components, and in situ detection instruments based on opto-mechatronics integration, particularly those geared towards point-of-care medical diagnostic devices. Traditional digital PCR platforms [1,2] can be broadly categorized into two main types in terms of workflow: flow-based (Bio-Rad) and array-based (ABI). Both rely on microfluidic chips to disperse droplets and require Peltier semiconductor modules along with H-bridge control circuitry for temperature regulation. We propose the "Constant Temperature Single Heat Source Model" to achieve temperature cycling in digital PCR, as well as an "Unprocessed Chip" approach for droplet formation, dispersion, and control. Additionally, we have developed a novel "Gas Diffusion Self-Driven Micro Pump" technology [3] to enable long-range, stable droplet transport without external energy input. These innovations not only reduce chip costs and instrument power consumption but also enhance portability [4] , meeting the requirements for use by non-specialist personnel.
