个人简介：
Mr. Reinier Nauta is a marine biologist and project manager at Wageningen Marine Research, with a strong academic and applied background in sustainable aquaculture and marine ecosystem innovation. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Marine Biology from the University of Groningen and has been engaged in research spanning ecological impacts, seaweed cultivation systems, and coastal sustainability. His work bridges ecological research and practical innovation under the guiding principle “From Knowledge to Knowhow.”
With a focus on seaweed as a future-proof marine resource, Reinier has led or participated in numerous interdisciplinary projects funded by the Dutch government and international partners, including research on ecological carrying capacity, saline agriculture, seaweed-based materials, and integrated aquaculture.
In his work, he emphasizes the transition from scientific knowledge to practical solutions, aiming to contribute to resilient coastal food systems and circular bio-economies. He is also an active member of expert committees such as the ICES Working Group on Ecological Carrying Capacity in Aquaculture and the Dutch standardization committee on algae products. He brings valuable insights from both scientific and practical perspectives, making him a dynamic contributor to university-industry-government collaborations on marine innovation.
