The Department of Marine Science offers one doctoral program, Marine Science, and two master programs, Marine Science and Resource and Environment.
Doctorate students of marine science are required to master the basic theories and systematic and in-depth expertise of marine science, and to understand the status quo and the latest research progress of marine science at home and abroad. They can make use of modern biotechnology to conduct systematic and in-depth studies on such topics as marine biological physiology and genetics, breeding, marine ecological environment, Mariculture technology, physical oceanography, marine geology, etc. With the ability of independent scientific research, creative thinking, and the ability to put into practice in the scientific research and special technology of marine science, he has become a senior professional in the field of marine science in our country.
Marine science masters are required to develop a scientific vision of marine natural phenomena, the nature, and the changing patterns. After gradutation, they can independently engage in research, teaching and the marine science industry work.
