近日，从中德科学中心获悉，我校理学院物理系宋晓红教授和德国帕德波恩大学 Torsten Meier教授共同申请的中德合作交流项目“Three-dimensional microscopic simulations of high-harmonic generation and strong-field phenomena in semiconductors”获得资助。该项目旨在搭建中德合作平台，共同推进双方在半导体高次谐波领域的合作研究。
中德科学中心是中国国家自然科学基金委员会（NSFC）和德国研究联合会（DFG）共同成立的科研资助机构。中心的目标是支持中德两国在自然科学、生命科学、管理科学和工程科学等领域的科研合作。经中德双方评审专家联合评审和中德双方机构共同协商，2019年共批准了35项合作交流项目，其中，自然科学领域合作交流项目共11项。
宋晓红教授自2012年入职我校以来，已连续主持了2项国家自然科学基金面上项目。此次获批的中德合作交流项目，是物理系国际学术交流平台建设的良好开端，极大促进了汕头大学物理系国际学术交流平台建设。
