报告人简介:
Khadga Jung Karki
Dr. Khadga Jung Karki completed his PhD in Physics at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany, in March 2012. He did his post-doctoral fellowship at Lund University from 2012 to 2015, and then worked as an independent researcher (supported by the Swedish Research Council) from 2016 to 2019. He has worked at many leading institutes including the European Synchrotron Research Facility (ESRF, France), FOM Institute for Atomic and Molecular Physics (AMOLF, the Netherlands), and Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics (MPQ, Germany) during university education. He specializes in optical nonlinear spectroscopy. His main research focus is on understanding the role of photon induced quantum coherence in the functioning of photo-active devices (both natural and made-made). He regularly publishes his findings in Nature Communications, Physical Review Letters, Chemical Science, Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, ACS Energy Letters, Physical Review A, etc.
报告摘要:
Measurements have shown that different nonlinear contributions to photocurrent and fluorescence in molecules, semiconductors and devices can be isolated by using phase-modulated femtosecond light pulses [1-3]. These methods are important in investigating the electronic structure of complex systems, dynamics induced in them when activated by photons and their relevance to functionality. In principle, spectroscopy using phase modulated light can be done by detecting any photo-induced signals. In this talk, I will give an overview of the emerging field of nonlinear optics using phase-modulated light fields to motivate possible collaborations.
