High-harmonic generation (HHG) from solids has emerged as a vibrant area of research in recent years, building upon decades of progress in strong-field physics and attosecond science with gases. Due to the highly nonlinear nature of HHG process, it offers exciting prospects for investigating the electronic structure and ultrafast dynamics on sub-femtosecond timescales (1 fs = 10-15 s). These advancements have paved the way for novel applications, including all-optical band structure reconstruction, crystal symmetry determination, analysis of topological character, material correlations, many-body effects, reconstruction of Berry curvature, etc. In this talk, I will present our recent works in high-harmonic generation from solids. Firstly, we have developed a novel technique for probing lattice dynamics using HHG spectroscopy. Secondly, we have successfully achieved coherent control of band gap dynamics through electron-phonon couplings. Lastly, we have explored Floquet Bloch engineering by harnessing the light-field-induced ponderomotive force. These investigations offer some opportunities for understanding and manipulating fundamental processes, such as carrier-carrier, carrier-phonon, and phonon-phonon interactions, in condensed matter systems.
